RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir on Saturday directed all departments to ensure the timely completion of development projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, transparency and public interest.
Chairing a meeting of the District Development Committee, the deputy commissioner reviewed the progress of ongoing development schemes across the district, discussed challenges hindering implementation and assessed measures for their timely completion. Officials from the relevant departments attended the meeting and briefed participants on the status of various projects.
The deputy commissioner said all development schemes must be completed within the stipulated timelines in accordance with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
He stressed that transparency, quality and public welfare should remain the top priorities at every stage of implementation.
He said providing basic public services was the government's foremost responsibility and warned that unnecessary delays or negligence in the execution of development projects would not be tolerated.

The deputy commissioner directed the concerned officers to increase the frequency of field visits, ensure continuous monitoring of ongoing works and immediately remove any obstacles affecting project execution to improve the pace of implementation.
Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir said the timely and quality completion of development projects would not only improve public services but also contribute significantly to the overall development and urban infrastructure of Rawalpindi district.
He directed all relevant departments to work in close coordination to ensure every project is completed according to the prescribed standards and timelines.
