DC Quetta orders action against LPG price hike

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mehrullah Badini, has expressed strong displeasure over public complaints regarding inflated LPG prices in the city and its surrounding areas, directing immediate action against violators.

Following his orders, Tehsildar of Sub-Division (City), Humayun Kakar, conducted an emergency inspection of various LPG plants across Quetta. During the visit, he reviewed gas prices and stock availability in detail.

Tehsildar Humayun Kakar issued stern warnings to plant owners, making it clear that strict legal proceedings would be initiated against those charging above the officially fixed rates.

He further added that no leniency would be shown to businesses creating artificial shortages and selling gas at inflated prices.

He emphasized that providing relief to the public remains the top priority of the district administration. Any negligence or carelessness in this regard will not be tolerated, and continuous monitoring will be carried out to keep prices under control.
