DC Quetta reviews Ashura arrangements across city

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mehrullah Badini, carried out a detailed inspection of Ashura procession routes and administrative arrangements, including security, sanitation, traffic management, electricity, gas, and healthcare facilities.

During his visit, DC Mehrullah Badini assessed the performance of relevant departments and emphasized that the district administration, in close coordination with police, Frontier Corps, and other law enforcement agencies, had ensured effective preparations for Youm-e-Ashura.

Speaking to the media, he said that providing a peaceful and secure environment for participants of processions and majalis was the administration’s foremost priority.

He highlighted that foolproof security, uninterrupted electricity and gas supply, sanitation services, medical facilities, and rescue services were being continuously monitored to prevent any inconvenience to mourners.

The Deputy Commissioner praised the cooperation of the public, religious scholars, community organizations, and all institutions, stressing that collective efforts were vital for promoting peace, brotherhood, and religious harmony. He assured that the district administration would continue monitoring all arrangements until the conclusion of Ashura to guarantee smooth and safe observances across Quetta.
