DC reviews city beautification projects in Sargodha

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry on Tuesday conducted an early morning inspection of the ongoing beautification and development projects at Kachehri Bazaar and City Road under the city beautification vision of Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

According to the spokesperson for the DC office here, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rana Muhammad Abu Bakar, officials from the Development Department, Highways Department, FESCO, and other relevant departments accompanied the deputy commissioner during the visit.

On the occasion, the officials briefed the DC on the progress of the projects, implementation timelines, and upcoming phases, most beautification work on City Road has been completed, including the underground relocation of electricity cables and road carpeting.

The DC was also informed that FESCO is currently carrying out the underground shifting of electricity lines in Katcheri Bazaar.

Upon completion of this phase, road rehabilitation and other beautification activities will be finalized.

During the inspection, Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry directed all concerned departments to ensure the timely completion of the projects in accordance with the approved schedule.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining safety standards during construction and minimizing inconvenience to shopkeepers and the public.

He stated that enhancing urban beauty, improving infrastructure, and providing better civic facilities remain key priorities of the Punjab government.

He expressed confidence that the timely completion of these projects would provide residents with a more attractive, organized, and comfortable urban environment.
