DC reviews cleanliness situation in Vegetable, Fruit market

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Monday visited various inner-city

areas and the vegetable and fruit market to review the overall cleanliness situation.

According to the official spokesperson here, the DC inspected different markets and surrounding

areas, assessing sanitation conditions and monitoring the performance of field teams

working under the “Suthra Punjab” initiative.

He directed the concerned authorities to ensure strict compliance with cleanliness standards, warning that no negligence in maintaining hygiene would be tolerated.

Later, he conducted a detailed inspection of the main vegetable and fruit market, where he expressed strong displeasure over the poor sanitation arrangements.

The DC issued immediate instructions for thorough cleaning of the market, removal of encroachments, and implementation of effective daily monitoring mechanisms.
