DC reviews measures in district

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) A meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza was held at the committee room

to assess various administrative measures and public service initiatives across the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioner General Ayesha Khan, assistant commissioners from all tehsils, and officers

from relevant departments attended the meeting and briefed the chair on the performance of their

respective departments.

Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza directed authorities to intensify crackdowns against the sale of illegal and foreign cigarettes, stressing that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.

He instructed price control magistrates to strictly enforce government-approved rates of essential commodities and take stern legal action against violators.

He also directed fuel station owners to ensure uninterrupted supply of petroleum products and adhere strictly to official pricing. Furthermore, he ordered improvements in cleanliness activities under the Suthra Punjab campaign and called for the swift disposal of pending revenue cases.
