SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Wednesday conducted a detailed inspection of ongoing beautification projects at Kutchery Bazaar and City Road under the Punjab government’s urban improvement initiative.
According to the spokesperson for the DC office here, officials from various departments accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the inspection.
During the visit, the DC directed the concerned departments to ensure timely completion of all construction activities while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
He emphasized that convenience for traders and shopkeepers must remain a top priority so that business activities continue without disruption.
He warned that the use of substandard materials or poor workmanship would not be tolerated, adding that strict action would be taken against any violations.
On the occasion, officials from relevant departments briefed him on the progress of the projects.
The Executive Engineer (XEN) of FESCO informed that work to shift electrical installations underground on City Road is progressing rapidly and is expected to be completed as per schedule. Meanwhile, the Highways Department provided an overview of various aspects of the beautification work at both locations.
Chaudhry stated that Kutchery Bazaar and City Road are being transformed into state-of-the-art commercial hubs, which will not only enhance the city’s aesthetic appeal but also boost economic activity.
He added that the upgraded infrastructure will offer a more pleasant and organized environment for shopkeepers.
He further revealed that plans are underway to extend beautification efforts to adjoining markets in the next phase, aiming to modernize key urban areas of the city.
