DC reviews polio campaign in district, monitors field activities

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Zain-ul-Abedin Memon along with District Health Officer Dr. Pir Ghulam Hussain on Wednesday visited various Union Councils across the district to monitor field activities during the ongoing Polio National Immunization Days (NIDs) April 2026.

During the visits, the Deputy Commissioner closely observed the performance of frontline workers (FLWs) and reviewed on ground implementation of the campaign. He also supervised Union Council Polio Eradication Committee (UPEC) meetings in different Union Councils to ensure effective coordination and timely resolution of issues.

The officials emphasized strict adherence to micro plans, improved coverage in high-risk areas and active community engagement to achieve the targets of the polio campaign.

The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of health teams and directed all concerned staff to maintain vigilance and ensure that no child was left unvaccinated.
