DC reviews progress of development projects

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi chaired a meeting to review the progress of development projects being carried out under the Punjab Development Program.

According to official sources, Managing Director WASA Kashan Hafeez Butt briefed the meeting on the ongoing projects. He said work on Kutchery Disposal Station, Kalra Disposal Station and Narowali Disposal Station was continuing as planned, while desilting of drains across the city was also in progress.

The meeting was informed that work on Madina Syedan and Kutchery Disposal Station projects was underway. Installation of HDPE pipes at Bole Chowk and construction of the Loray Storm Water Drain were also progressing.

Officials told the meeting that cleaning and clearance of drains had been completed on several roads and areas, including Main GT Road, Badshahi Road, Dera via Kunjah, Kutchery Chowk, Jinnah Chowk, GTS Chowk, Lari Adda, Gulzar Madina Chowk and Nawab Chowk.

Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner directed the concerned departments to speed up work on all projects and ensure quality standards. He said the projects should be completed on time to provide better drainage and other basic facilities to the public.

The meeting was attended by MD WASA Kashan Hafeez Butt, Director Development Tasawar Abbas, concerned XENs and other officials.
