DC reviews progress on DIKhan flyover projects, orders removal of bottlenecks

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, Hikmatullah, chaired an important meeting to review the progress of the under-construction flyover projects in the district and discuss measures to resolve issues hindering their timely completion.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning), officials of relevant departments, and other stakeholders associated with the projects.

During the meeting, participants held a detailed discussion on various challenges, technical issues, and bottlenecks affecting the pace of construction work on the two flyovers. The forum reviewed ongoing progress and identified key obstacles that require immediate attention to ensure smooth execution of the projects.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Hikmatullah directed all concerned departments and agencies to take prompt steps for the removal of hurdles delaying construction activities.

He emphasized the importance of completing the projects within the stipulated timeframe to facilitate the public and provide relief from traffic congestion in the city.

The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the district administration’s commitment to ensuring the successful and timely completion of the flyovers, which were expected to significantly improve traffic flow and urban mobility in Dera Ismail Khan.
