DC reviews revenue department performance, orders full recovery of dues

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza chaired an important review meeting

at the committee room of his office to assess the performance of revenue department

across the district.

During the meeting, a comprehensive briefing was given on key areas including

revenue matters, tax collection, recovery of government dues, correction of land

records, and redressal of public complaints.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Shagufta

Jabeen, Assistant Commissioner City Khalil Ahmed, and other revenue officials,

while Assistant Commissioners from other tehsils joined via video link. Officers

presented updates on the achievement of revenue targets, pending cases, property

transfers (mutations), issuance of ownership documents (fard), and the progress

of the girdawari process.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed officials to ensure

100 percent recovery of revenue and further accelerate efforts for the collection

of outstanding government dues.

He emphasized that transparency, merit, and

timely action in revenue matters must be ensured to provide relief to the public.

He also instructed that pending cases be resolved on a priority basis and that

the process of land record correction be further improved and streamlined.

Highlighting the importance of public service, Syed Hassan Raza stressed that

field officers must play an active role in the prompt redressal of complaints,

warning that any negligence in the provision of revenue services would not

be tolerated.

The meeting also discussed the future strategy for achieving revenue targets,

with clear timelines assigned to the concerned officers. The Deputy Commissioner

reiterated that improving transparency and efficiency in the revenue system

remains a top priority in line with the directives of the Punjab government, and

urged all officials to perform their duties with integrity and professionalism.
