DC reviews security measures for Muharram

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohat, Muhammad Nawaz Wazir on Tuesday visited various Imambargahs, procession routes and the central control room to review security arrangements for the sacred moth of Muharram-ul-Haram.

During the inspection, he assessed the security measures in place and personally checked the functionality of CCTV cameras installed at the control room to monitor sensitive areas.

He also held meetings with the management of Imambargahs who lauded the efforts of the district administration in maintaining peace and order.

Representatives of various imambargahs assured full cooperation to administration to maintain peace during Muharram.

DC reiterated the commitment of the district administration to utilize all available resources for the protection of citizens and the maintenance of harmony during Muharram.
