FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir has visited various areas of the city to review sewerage operations and assess measures being taken to provide relief to citizens ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
During the visit, he inspected major ponding points including Naimatabad Road, Nethri area, Jaranwala Road near Jalvi Market, Tezab Mills Chowk and Kohinoor Chowk.
Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza briefed him on the ongoing sewerage operations and steps being taken for the prompt drainage of stagnant water from these locations.
The deputy commissioner appreciated the efforts of WASA teams and said that sewerage issues in several areas including Safeabad Sub-Division and localities adjoining Jaranwala Road had been largely brought under control although further improvement was still required.
He stressed that with Eid-ul-Fitr approaching, the citizens should receive maximum relief from drainage problems and no sewerage overflow should occur anywhere in the city during the festive days.
MD WASA Saqib Raza assured the deputy commissioner that operational teams of WASA were working round the clock to address sewerage complaints and all machinery remained fully operational. Public complaints were being resolved in the shortest possible time, he added.
He further stated that the operational staff would remain on duty during Eid-ul-Fitr to ensure uninterrupted sewerage services and provide significant relief to citizens across the city.
