DC reviews Thalassemia care facilities at Sundas Foundation

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner(DC) Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Tuesday visited Sundas Foundation in Sargodha to review medical facilities and blood transfusion arrangements for children suffering from Thalassemia.

During the visit,he inspected the laboratory and was briefed in detail on blood screening procedures,safe storage and transfusion processes.

He appreciated the staff’s performance,terming the provision of timely and safe blood to thalassemia patients a commendable humanitarian service.

DC also met with the children undergoing treatment,inquired about their well-being and prayed for their recovery.

He distributed gifts and flowers among the patients,which was warmly received by their families.

On the occasion,the management of Sundas Foundation briefed him on the organization’s activities and facilities and presented him with a commemorative shield.

Addressing the gathering,Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry said that welfare organizations like Sundas Foundation serve as a beacon of hope for vulnerable children.

He noted that ensuring continuous care,timely transfusions, and quality treatment for Thalassemia patients remains a major challenge being effectively managed by such institutions.

He also appealed to philanthropists to support welfare organizations to help ensure better and sustainable medical facilities for children suffering from Thalassemia across the region.
