DC Sargodha orders strict implementation of austerity measures

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, has directed all administrative officers to ensure strict enforcement of austerity and fuel-saving measures issued by the Government of Punjab across the district.

Chairing a meeting here on Tuesday with assistant commissioners and officials of various departments, the DC emphasized that full compliance with government directives must be ensured without exception.

He warned that negligence or laxity in implementation would not be tolerated.

He instructed departments to significantly reduce fuel consumption of official vehicles and immediately halt unnecessary use. The use of government resources, including security arrangements, should be strictly limited to essential needs only.

The DC further directed offices to adopt a work-from-home policy where possible, calling in only essential staff to minimize operational costs.

He also urged that official meetings be conducted online wherever feasible and that all unnecessary events and expenditures be avoided.

Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry said the purpose of these measures is to ensure efficient utilization of public resources while maintaining essential services for citizens.

He called upon all concerned officers to fulfill their responsibilities diligently and ensure effective implementation of the government’s policy.
