DC, SSP Qambar Shahdadkot chairs monthly district coordination meeting

LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) A meeting of the monthly District Coordination Committee was held at the Darbar Hall of the DC Office in Qambar on Friday, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Qambar Shahdadkot Kamran Hussain Mushtaq Sheikh and SSP Qambar Shahdadkot Hassan Sardar Ahmed Khan Niazi.

The meeting was attended by officers from law enforcement agencies, heads of government departments working under the district administration, Additional Deputy Commissioner – I Zohaib Zamir Odhano, and Assistant Commissioners from all talukas.

On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner – I Zohaib Zamir Odhano, while briefing the participants on the performance of departments under the district administration, stated that during the month of April, 21 petrol pumps had been sealed on charges of illegally selling Iranian oil.

He further mentioned that under the anti-encroachment campaign, illegal constructions were being removed across the district. Additionally, the report informed that raids were being conducted at various locations on the identification of law enforcement agencies against sellers of non-customs vehicles, cigarettes, and narcotic supplements.

He further briefed that there are a total of 249 madrasas in the district, out of which 16 madrasas have not yet registered themselves. Notices have been issued to these madrasas for registration.

The briefing also revealed that raids at various shops had led to the seizure of 7,750 packs of illegal cigarettes.

On this occasion, assigning new tasks for the upcoming month, Deputy Commissioner Qambar Shahdadkot Kamran Hussain Mushtaq Sheikh said that wherever there is an encroachment issue in the district, it must be removed immediately so that the district can be kept free of illegal constructions. Strict vigilance should be maintained on the movement of non-customs vehicles in the district.

He directed law enforcement officers to ensure strict monitoring of the Balochistan border and increase the strength at every checkpoint so that the entire district can be made drug-free. Furthermore, all internal and external routes of the district should be closely watched to keep an eye on individuals belonging to extremist organizations.

SSP Qambar Shahdadkot Hassan Sardar Ahmed Khan Niazi stated that our personnel are performing duties day and night along the district boundary with Jacobabad and Qubo Saeed Khan taluka, conducting stringent checks of all incoming and outgoing vehicles to prevent smuggled goods.

Additional Deputy Commissioner – I Zohaib Zamir Odhano, all taluka assistant commissioners, law enforcement officers, and officials of government departments were also present on the occasion.
