DC stresses 100pc coverage of anti -polio drive

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema chaired a review meeting to assess progress of the ongoing anti-polio campaign in the district on its third day.

The third day consecutive meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (HQ) Abdul Rehman Khan, Chief Executive Officer Health, Dr Salman Ghani, District Health Officer, Deputy District Health Officers and area in-charges.

A detailed review of daily performance, coverage, field presence of teams and progress in high-risk union councils was carried out.

The deputy commissioner directed that no child should be left unvaccinated and teams must ensure door-to-door coverage.

He stressed strict implementation of micro-plans, improved field performance and accurate data reporting.

The meeting was also directed to focus on high-risk areas, trace missed children and further strengthen monitoring mechanisms.

The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that all available resources were being utilized to eradicate polio and everyone would take part to fulfil the national responsibility.
