DC stresses full coverage in ongoing anti-polio drive

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Ijaz on Tuesday directed that no child should be left unvaccinated as the district administration intensified monitoring of the ongoing anti-polio campaign, setting a target of immunizing over 2.23 million children in the provincial capital.

During visits to field teams on the second day of the campaign on Tuesday, he reviewed tally sheets and verified data, while officials ensured real-time entry through a monitoring application to maintain transparency and accuracy.

Earlier, the deputy commissioner also visited an Arazi Record Center, where he addressed multiple public complaints on the spot and instructed officers to ensure immediate resolution of issues related to land transfer and revenue matters.

He emphasized that staff at the center must work diligently to facilitate citizens, adding that there would be no compromise on the accuracy and transparency of digital land records.

Accompanied by the additional deputy commissioners (Revenue and Finance), assistant commissioner City, and the CEO Health, he said continuous monitoring of service delivery and field operations was being ensured to improve governance.

DC Muhammad Ali Ijaz said transparency and public service remained the top focus of the district administration. He stressed that eradication of polio was essential to secure the future of children and urged citizens to fully cooperate with polio teams so that no child was left at risk of disability.
