DC visits parks, orders rehabilitation, improvement

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Hussain Ahmad Raza Cheema on Thursday visited to various public parks in the city to review ongoing efforts aimed at improving recreational facilities for citizens.

According to the spokesperson for DC office here, the DC accompanied by Managing Director Horticulture Authority, Muhammad Arshad.

During the visit, he inspected Siddique Akbar Ground in Y-Block, New Satellite Town, and Jahanzeb Awan Park located in X-Block.

He reviewed cleanliness, green belts, walking tracks, and other public amenities.

Directing the concerned officials, Cheema emphasized the need to further enhance the maintenance, rehabilitation, and beautification of parks to ensure a pleasant and healthy environment for residents.

He stated that providing clean, well-maintained, and quality recreational spaces remains a top priority of the district administration.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner issued instructions for the establishment of a new park at the site of Siddique Akbar Ground to facilitate better recreational opportunities for the local community.

Residents welcomed the initiative and expressed their gratitude by presenting a copy of the Holy Quran to the Deputy Commissioner.

As part of the ongoing tree plantation campaign, the DC also planted a sapling and urged citizens to actively participate in afforestation efforts to promote a greener and healthier Sargodha.

Later, he visited the Botanical Garden, where he reviewed available facilities and issued further directions for improvement.
