LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Ejaz visited the Rescue 1122 Headquarters to review preparedness measures ahead of the monsoon season, here on Wednesday.
Accompanied by ADCG, Assistant Commissioner City and Assistant Commissioner Headquarters, he assessed the overall operational preparedness and emergency response arrangements at the Rescue 1122 Headquarters.
During the visit, officials briefed him on operational readiness and citizen safety protocols, highlighting measures taken to ensure effective emergency response. Mock drills were also demonstrated to evaluate preparedness and further enhance the operational capacity of rescue personnel.
The DC directed rescuers to maintain minimum response time to ensure prompt assistance to citizens, stressing the need for constant vigilance and readiness to handle any emergency situation.
He said that the role of rescuers was not merely a job but a sacred trust of public confidence, adding that all necessary arrangements had been completed before the monsoon and teams were fully alert.
DC Muhammad Ali Ejaz assured full support from the district administration, stating that all available resources would be provided to strengthen Rescue 1122 operations. He emphasized that protection of citizens remained the top priority and called for enhanced inter-departmental coordination to further improve emergency response mechanisms.
