DC visits SIAL

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar, on Thursday visited the Sialkot International

Airport Limited (SIAL) and acclaimed the remarkable role of SIAL in serving the people.

The deputy commissioner was warmly received by SIAL Chairman Hassan Ali Bhatti,

Vice Chairman Waqas Afzal, and SIAL CEO.

Assistant Commissioner Sambrial Adnan Warraich, was also present.

During the visit, the worthy Chairman SIAL provided a comprehensive briefing on the

airport’s operations, state-of-the-art facilities, and its pivotal role in facilitating regional

and national connectivity. He highlighted SIAL’s significant contribution towards economic

growth, trade promotion, overseas Pakistani travel, and the overall development of the region.

Chairman SIAL also acknowledged and appreciated the continued support and cooperation

extended by the district administration and Punjab government in ensuring the smooth

functioning and growth of the airport.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar said the airport had

greatly benefited the public and had become a vital gateway connecting the region

with national and international destinations.

Saba Asghar further remarked that Sialkot International Airport was a valuable national

asset and holds strategic importance for Pakistan. She appreciated the vision and efforts

of business community of Sialkot for the establishment and successful operation of the

airport, terming it a shining example of public-private collaboration and regional development.

The visit concluded with a constructive discussion on enhancing cooperation between

SIAL and the district administration for the continued progress and development of the

airport and the region at large.
