DC vows to implement price control for facilitating people in Ramazan

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini on Monday chaired a meeting regarding price control to ensure implementation of it for facilitating people in Quetta during the Holy month of Ramazan.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Anwar Kakar, Assistant Commissioner City, Assistant Commissioner Sariab, Assistant Commissioner Kuchlak and magistrates of all four sub-divisions.

In the meeting, strict decisions were taken to control the prices of food items during Ramazan and provide relief to the people.

Strict orders were issued in the meeting that indiscriminate action would be taken against profiteers and sellers of expensive goods and those violating the law to be sent to jail, no concession would be made to high-priced sellers.

Deputy Commissioner Quetta directed all administrative officers to make price control operations effective and continuous in their respective sub-divisions and ensure monitoring by being present in the field.

The district administration clarified that providing relief to the people during the month of Ramazan is the top priority and all possible steps would be taken in this regard and strict action to be taken against profiteers, no one could be allowed to profiteer during the month of Ramazan.
