Ddacoit gang arrested

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) Kot Lakhpat Police arrested a gang involved in snatching purses and mobile phones from women, using CCTV footage to identify and track the suspects.

According to police, the accused were traced to Kasur and taken into custody. SP Model Town Asad Ali said that the SHO Kot Lakhpat and his team arrested the gang's two main suspects, Asim and Nasir.

Investigations revealed that the suspects targeted women in various areas, snatching purses and mobile phones before fleeing the scene. CCTV footage reportedly captured the accused stealing a woman's purse and escaping. Police also linked them to a purse-snatching incident in a private housing society during Eid.

Police stated that the arrested suspects are believed to have been involved in more than a dozen similar incidents. During the operation, officers recovered four mobile phones, cash, and a snatched pistol from their possession.

According to police records, both Asim and Nasir have previous involvement in multiple cases of theft, robbery, and snatching. Further investigations are underway to identify other accomplices and uncover additional crimes linked to the gang.

SP Asad Ali said that security and patrol measures have been strengthened across the Model Town Division to safeguard citizens and their property, while ongoing operations against criminal elements continue.
