SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) A meeting of the District Development Committee (DDC) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry here on Tuesday in which 92 development schemes from key sectors were approved for submission to the Punjab government for inclusion in the upcoming Annual Development Programme (ADP).
According to the official spokesperson here, the proposed schemes include 49 projects from the Local Government sector, 42 from Public Health Engineering, and one scheme from Higher education.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the provision of basic facilities to the public remains the top priority of the Punjab government.
He stated that the proposed development projects have been designed keeping public needs at the forefront.
He further directed that all schemes should be prepared strictly in accordance with the principles of merit, transparency, and sustainability to ensure that their benefits reach the masses effectively.
He highlighted that projects related to the provision of clean drinking water, improved drainage systems, road infrastructure, and educational facilities will play a vital role in the district’s overall development.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Development Mehtab Yaseen, CEO Health, officials from the District Council and Municipal Corporation, Executive Engineer Public Health Engineering, and other concerned officers.
