FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) The Divisional Development Working Party (DDWP) has approved several development schemes for improving public facilities across the division.
Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar chaired the DDWP meeting and granted approval for the establishment of a trauma centar in Samundri, repair, rehabilitation and beautification of Mochi Bazaar in Chak Jhumra and provision of furniture to various colleges in the division under the Missing Facilities Program.
The forum also approved the establishment of an enforcement station of Punjab Environmental Protection Agency in Lalian tehsil, along with the repair and rehabilitation of the road from Rasala Wala Road to Dijkot Drain.
The meeting also approved another important scheme relating to erosion control along the banks of the Chenab River near Mouza Sahmal Bhowana in Chiniot district to protect surrounding land and settlements.
The officials briefed the meeting about proposed development schemes for the fiscal year 2026–27.
The projects of pressing public importance would be included in the upcoming fiscal year’s budget so that the citizens could benefit from improved civic facilities and development initiatives across the division, he added.
