Decision to deploy outsourced community health inspectors

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) The Punjab government has decided to deploy outsourced community health inspectors,

besides approving supplementary grant for Maryam Nawaz Community Health Services

Program.

According to heath department sources, an important decision has been taken to make

door-to-door monitoring of health facilities more effective.

Under the plan, special attention

has been paid to maternal and child health in rural and urban areas, while a target has been

set to increase access to health facilities in rural and backward areas.

A strategy has been formulated to provide medical facilities to the people at their doorsteps,

while the Health Department had been directed to ensure speedy implementation of the

program and develop a new mechanism for monitoring the performance of health inspectors,

while continuing to work on public welfare projects, on a priority basis.
