Decision to increase machinery, staff for Punjab Development Plan

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) It has been decided to increase the number of manpower and machinery for the timely

completion of the Punjab Development Plan.

According to official sources, a meeting was held in this regard under the chairmanship of Provincial

Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin to review the pace of WASA development works.

In the meeting, Secretary Housing Noorul Amin Mengal and DG WASA Tayyab Farid gave a briefing

on the performance, in which it was informed that WASA complexes will be constructed in 15 cities of the province in the initial phase.

The provincial minister directed the WASA MDs of all districts to immediately start the de-silting campaign and said that the targets would be completed on time keeping in mind the emergency situation in 15 districts, while WASA MDs of 15 districts participated in the meeting via video link.
