RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) A dengue surveillance team during a visit to Chak Jalal Din detected mosquito larvae and adult populations at a site, prompting immediate action by health authorities.

Deputy District Health Officer Dr. Hanan Javed Goreja conducted the inspection to review ongoing anti-dengue activities in the area.

During the visit, an underground water tank was found to be heavily infested with larvae and adult mosquitoes, posing a potential dengue risk.

He directed the concerned entomologist to initiate appropriate legal and preventive measures at the identified site to eliminate breeding sources.

Health officials said surveillance activities were being intensified across the district to prevent the spread of dengue, urging residents to ensure cleanliness and avoid stagnant water in and around their homes.
