Dengue measures discussed

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) A meeting of the District Emergency Response Committee for Dengue was held here on Tuesday.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) Anwar Ali presided over the sitting, in which special measures were directed in view of the rains.

The ADCG directed to ensure 100 percent coverage of all hotspots in view of the possible spread of dengue and said that the awareness campaign to make citizens take precautionary measures to prevent dengue should be further intensified.

He directed to mobilize the field teams to ensure regular checking of roofs of houses and commercial places.

The need for special inspection of tire shops, immediate clearance of water accumulated in city areas, increased surveillance in street neighborhoods and cemeteries, and timely destruction of larvae was emphasized.

He said that all relevant departments should ensure strict implementation of anti-dengue SOPs and performance reports should be submitted regularly.
