Deputy Chairman Senate extends Eid-ul-Azha greetings

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan, while extending heartfelt greetings to the nation and the Muslim world on the joyous and sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, stated that the festival is not merely a religious occasion but a profound lesson in sacrifice, patience, selflessness, and complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah.

In his message he said the eternal sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS) would continue to serve as a guiding light for humanity for all times to come.

In his message, the Deputy Chairman Senate said that the true essence of sacrifice is not limited to the slaughtering of animals, but also includes sacrificing one’s ego, desires, and personal interests for the collective good and the pleasure of Almighty Allah.

He said that on this occasion, the nation must renew its commitment to rise above personal differences and political divisions and work together for the progress, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan and its people.

He further stated that Pakistan is a great nation achieved through immense sacrifices, and that its security, stability, and prosperity are a collective responsibility.

He emphasized that during the Eid celebrations, people must also remember and include those brothers and sisters who are facing economic hardships, poverty, or difficult circumstances, so that no one feels alone on the joyous occasion.

Syedal Khan said that on Eid-ul-Azha, the nation should also pay tribute to the martyrs, the armed forces of Pakistan, law enforcement agencies, and all defenders of the homeland who sacrificed their lives for the peace, security, and progress of the country.

He appealed to the nation to offer special prayers during the blessed days of Eid for the people of Palestine, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and oppressed Muslims across the world.

He prayed that Almighty Allah bless the Muslim Ummah with unity and harmony and make the world a place of peace, brotherhood, and humanity.

Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan also prayed that Almighty Allah accept the prayers and sacrifices of the faithful and grant them the ability to live their lives in accordance with the true spirit of Eid-ul-Azha.
