ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) Deputy Chairman of the Senate Syedaal Khan, on Thursday, held a meeting with Chairman NADRA, Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar, in Islamabad. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, institutional performance, and public service delivery were discussed in detail.
Chairman NADRA briefed the Deputy Chairman of the Senate on the organisation’s ongoing projects, digital reforms and improvements in the registration system.
The Deputy Chairman of the Senate appreciated NADRA’s overall performance and said the institution is providing improved services to the public through modern technology.
He also commended the professional expertise and leadership of the NADRA chairman, noting that under his leadership, the organisation has gained significant international recognition and secured various global contracts, which he termed an encouraging development.
Syedaal Khan particularly raised the issue of the difficulties people in Balochistan face in obtaining identity cards.
He added that citizens in remote and underdeveloped areas face challenges in the registration process, which require immediate and effective measures.
He emphasised the need to further strengthen NADRA’s registration centres in Balochistan and other remote areas, expand mobile registration services, and ensure maximum facilitation for the public so that every citizen has timely access to identity documents.
The Deputy Chairman of the Senate also stressed that NADRA should continue to utilise modern technology to make its services more efficient and citizen-friendly, with special focus on facilitating vulnerable segments of society.
Both sides expressed their commitment to continue joint efforts to improve public service delivery and enhance institutional performance.
