Deputy Commissioner reviews Chiniot-Faisalabad road project, orders timely completion

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Sunday conducted a detailed inspection of the under-construction Chiniot-Faisalabad One-Way Road project, reviewing the pace and quality of work while directing the authorities to ensure its completion within the stipulated timeframe to provide improved travel facilities to the public.

Accompanied by Executive Engineer (Highways) Muhammad Ahmed, the deputy commissioner inspected various sections of the project, including the ongoing construction activities and tree plantation on the central green belt. During the visit, the highway official briefed her on the overall progress of the scheme, completed work, and the remaining phases of construction.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress, Ayesha Rizwan stressed that all construction work must strictly adhere to the prescribed engineering standards without compromising quality.

She also instructed the concerned departments to intensify tree plantation along the green belt, ensure proper maintenance of the saplings, and preserve the roadside landscape to enhance the city's environmental sustainability and aesthetic appeal.

The deputy commissioner further directed officials to accelerate development work within the urban stretch of the project, emphasizing that its early completion would help ease traffic congestion and facilitate smoother commuting for residents. She reaffirmed the district administration's commitment to ensuring the timely execution of all public welfare projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and transparency.
