Dera Rescue 1122 holds monsoon preparedness mock exercise 2026

On the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Rescue 1122 organised the District-Level Monsoon Preparedness Mock Exercise 2026 in Dera Ismail Khan under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief and Human Rights) Tahreem Shah to review emergency response, logistics and inter-agency coordination

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) On the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Rescue 1122 organised the District-Level Monsoon Preparedness Mock Exercise 2026 in Dera Ismail Khan under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief and Human Rights) Tahreem Shah to review emergency response, logistics and inter-agency coordination.

District Emergency Officer Muhammad Arif Khan, officials of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and Civil Defence personnel were also present on the occasion.

During the exercise, rescue operations, deep-water swimming and search drills were practically demonstrated to assess preparedness for possible monsoon-related emergencies.

Speaking on the occasion, officials directed all relevant departments to further strengthen coordination mechanisms and ensure timely response during emergency situations.

The participants appreciated the performance of Rescue 1122 and expressed the hope that the inclusion of local divers would further improve the capacity and effectiveness of emergency operations in the district.
