FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) Divisional Commissioner Faisalabad Madam Musarrat Jabeen has said that implementation on multiple development and public welfare initiatives in Faisalabad division is progressing steadily under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz, with strict emphasis on transparency and timely completion of projects.
Presiding over a review meeting, she assessed progress on key programs including Punjab Development Program, Punjab Cities Program, model villages initiative, beautification projects and functionality of water filtration plants.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Faisalabad Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir was present in the meeting while deputy commissioners of Jhang and Toba Tek Singh, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner General Chiniot joined it via video link.
Reviewing development schemes under Punjab Development Program, the divisional commissioner directed the officials to accelerate construction work and ensure transparency at all stages.
She stressed that quality and merit should not be compromised in execution of projects.
Taking stock of the Punjab Cities Program, she assigned targets for completion of remaining work and sought regular progress updates from the concerned departments. She also directed strict monitoring of water filtration plants to ensure their continuous functionality. She directed that faulty filters must be replaced immediately. She emphasized active involvement of local government departments and union council secretaries in this regard.
Discussing the Model Villages program, the commissioner ordered immediate initiation of work on all approved PC-1 schemes, adding that the initiative includes improvement of water supply, drainage systems, street lighting and rehabilitation of children’s parks.
She further directed deputy commissioners of all four districts to continue close monitoring of all ongoing development programs to ensure their timely completion and maximum public relief.
