DG FIA reviews Hajj arrangements at Lahore airport

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General Dr Usman Anwar on Monday

visited the Allama Iqbal International airport and reviewed the arrangements for Hajj

Operation 2026.

FIA Lahore Director Capt (retd) Muhammad Ali Zia briefed the DG on immigration

services and operational preparedness. The DG also reviewed the “Road to Makkah”

initiative aimed at facilitating intending pilgrims.

The DG was informed that a total of 7,076 intending pilgrims had so far been

processed through immigration across 33 Hajj flights at the Lahore airport.

The DG inspected departure processes and passenger screening procedures,

and issued special direction to immigration staff for ensuring the provision of

best possible services to Hajj pilgrims.

He directed that the fastest possible immigration services be ensured during

Hajj flights and emphasised that elderly pilgrims should be provided maximum

facilities and care during their religious journey.

On the occasion, Dr Usman interacted with passengers, who expressed satisfaction

over the immigration services.

“Providing the best services to passengers is top priority of the agency,” the DG said.
