DG Social Welfare visits shelter home, reviews facilities

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2026) Punjab Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Director General Dr Shahenshah Faisal Azim visited the Shelter Home (Dar-ul-Aman) to review the facilities being provided to resident women, here on Sunday.

During the visit, the DG Social Welfare conducted a detailed inspection of the arrangements and services available at the facility. The in-charge of the institution briefed him on the support and services being extended to the women residing there.

Dr Shahenshah Faisal Azim also met the women directly and obtained their feedback regarding the facilities and overall environment.

He directed the authorities concerned to ensure the provision of safe accommodation and a dignified living environment for the residents. He further inspected various sections of the Shelter Home and expressed satisfaction over the overall management and arrangements.

On the occasion, Eid gifts were also distributed among the women residing at the Shelter Home. Dr. Shahenshah Faisal Azim said that the welfare of women in Shelter Homes remains a top priority of the Punjab government.
