ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Security Rana Umar Farooq visited Parliament House and reviewed overall security arrangements along with senior police officers.
An official told APP on Wednesday that the DIG Umar inspected entry and exit points, checking posts, surveillance systems and the performance of security personnel deployed on duty.
Officers briefed DIG Security regarding existing arrangements and security measures in place at Parliament House.
Rana Umar directed concerned officers to further strengthen and make security arrangements foolproof while ensuring strict checking procedures at all entry and exit points.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He emphasized that personnel deployed on security duty must perform their responsibilities with complete vigilance and professionalism so that any emergency situation could be handled effectively and promptly.
The DIG said security of all institutions located within the High-Security Zone remained the top priority and all available resources were being utilized to ensure effective protection.
He expressed satisfaction over the existing security arrangements and issued further directions to senior officers for additional improvements.
