DIG Sukkur issues orders in Police departmental cases

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Sukkur Range, Nasir Aftab on Friday issued orders on various departmental cases against police officials and personnel of Sukkur Range, in light of the policy directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Javed Alam Odho, for internal accountability in the police department.

The orders include converting major penalties into minor penalties for several officials, including Inspector Muhammad Asif Mughal, Sub Inspector Ali Akbar Alamani and others. Some officials have been awarded warnings, while others have had their services terminated or reinstated.

The DIG also ordered inquiries into the appeals of dismissed police constables, including Ghazi Khan Kora, Wasim Haider Chang, and others, and has appointed inquiry officers to look into their cases.

Additionally, the DIG has transferred several police officials and personnel to different districts within the Sukkur Range.

The DIG Nasir Aftab emphasized that any police official or personnel found involved in negligence, criminal activities, abuse of power, or social evils will face strict departmental and legal action and that those performing well will be rewarded.
