SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Sukkur Range, Nasir Aftab has released his three month performance report on Thursday, highlighted the achievements of the Sukkur Range Police.
The report stated that the Sukkur Range Police have made significant strides in combating crime with 222 encounters resulting in 23 criminals killed, 79 injured, and 263 arrested.
16 dacoits surrendered, with rewards ranging from Rs20 lakh to Rs1 crore, 260 wanted and 142 absconders arrested in murder cases, with 451 wanted and 882 absconders arrested in other cases.
According to report, 262 narcotics cases registered, with 320 arrests and seizures of 198kg of charas, 2,205 bottles of liquor, and 971kg of bhang, 126 gambling cases registered, with 195 arrests and Rs2.
23 crore worth of stolen property recovered, including 98 motorcycles and 9 vehicles.
181 arms and ammunition cases registered, with 183 arrests and seizures of 6 Kalashnikovs, 16 shotguns, 2 rifles, and 169 pistols, said a report.
Besides, 36 Afghan nationals deported.
13 kidnapped victims rescued, with 114 people saved from honey trap kidnappings, 7 missing children found and returned to parents, 7,194 traffic challans were issued, with Rs7,49,750 fine collected and 122 police personnel benefited from relief fund, with Rs60,59,773 disbursed.
