DIG thanks policemen for ensuring secure, peaceful Muharram

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) The DIG Hyderabad Tariq Razzak Dharejo has expressed gratitude to the cops in Hyderabad Police Range for successfully performing their duties on Youm-e-Ashur in all the 9 districts in the range.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, the DIG said the police tried to provide foolproof security to all the thousands of mourning processions and majalis which were organized in the range.

Dharejo also thanked the ulemas for extending complete cooperation to the police to ensure that the month of Muharram passed peacefully.

He expressed satisfaction that no untoward incident occurred during the first 10 days of Muharram.

The DIG pointed out that not only the processions and majalis were provided security cover, but the police also manned the entry and exit points, checked markets and motels and combed places where suspicious persons might have gathered.
