Digitization of land record reviewed

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) A review meeting on digitization under the Punjab Land Record Authority was held under the chairmanship

of Commissioner Bahawalpur Division, Irfan Ali Kathia here.

The meeting was attended by Director General Punjab Land Record Authority Ikram-ul-Haq, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza, while Additional Deputy Commissioner Rahim Yar Khan and Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhon, along with revenue officers from all tehsils of the division, participated via video link.

Addressing the meeting, Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia stated that digitization has brought transparency to the land record system, eliminated unnecessary delays in revenue-related cases, and improved the accountability process.

He further informed that the digitization of land records for the notified mauzas of Bahawalpur Division is in its final stages of completion.

Director General Punjab Land Record Authority Ikram-ul-Haq, while expressing his views, said that due to digitization, not only has transparency improved in the process of property transfer, but public trust and satisfaction have also increased significantly.

The meeting was also briefed in detail about the set revenue targets across the division and the progress achieved so far.
