Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) Government Degree College (GDC) No. 1 Dera Ismail Khan and DIKhan Nuclear and Radiotherapy (DINAR) Cancer Hospital have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing academic collaboration, promoting research activities, and creating internship opportunities for students.
The agreement seeks to strengthen academia-industry linkages by connecting students and faculty members with advanced healthcare technologies, modern research practices, and professional learning environments.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the college by Prof. Azmat Ullah, Head of the Department of Physics, while Dr. Nabila Javed, Director AECH DINAR, represented the hospital. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Syed Abid Hussain Shah, JMC Coordinator, along with officials and representatives of both institutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Syed Abid Hussain Shah termed the agreement a significant milestone in expanding academic and professional opportunities for students. He said the collaboration would facilitate student internships, encourage joint research initiatives, and strengthen cooperation between the education and healthcare sectors.

Representatives of both institutions noted that the partnership would pave the way for greater collaboration in research, training, and knowledge-sharing, ultimately benefiting students and promoting quality higher education in the region.
