Dist coordination committee meeting held

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) A meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held under the chairmanship of Member Provincial Assembly Mian Sultan Ali Ranjha.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, National Assembly members Dr Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti, Iram Hamid Hameed, Provincial Assembly members Barrister Taimur Baloch, Mian Ikram ul Haq, Rana Munawar Ghaus, Safdar Sahi, Barrister Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha, Malik Shoaib Awan, Abdul Razak Dhillon and district heads of various government departments.

A detailed briefing was given on the four-point agenda in the meeting. MD WASA informed about the progress of the Chief Minister Punjab’s mega sewerage project and said that Sargodha is at the first place in the province with 43 percent progress.

He said that underground tanks are being constructed to save rainwater, which are expected to be completed by June 30. PMU Project Director informed about the progress and timeline of ongoing local government projects in Salanwali, Sahiwal, Bhera and Bhalwal. The meeting also agreed to get a survey done by the provincial government to include Sahiwal and Kotmoman in this project and to join the scheme.

Axion Highways gave a briefing on the proposed projects for the next financial year under the "Roads Restored, Punjab Prosperous" program and the City Development Package, while the Divisional Coordinator PRMSC informed about the Model Villages project.
