District Admin imposes Rs.275,000 in fines

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) The district administration,on the directives of Deputy Commissioner(DC) Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Monday intensified action against violations of the One-Dish Act,imposing fines totaling Rs.275,000.

According to officials,assistant commissioners carried out inspections of various marriage halls and hotels across the district to ensure compliance.

In Kot Momin,a marriage hall was fined Rs.50,000.

In Sargodha city,multiple venues were inspected,authorities fined one hall Rs.75,000 and imposed Rs50,000 each on two others for breaching the law.

In Shahpur,a hotel was also fined Rs.50,000 for violating the One-Dish policy.

Officials said the crackdown would continue,warning that no leniency would be shown to violators.

DC directed authorities to step up inspections and ensure strict enforcement of the law.
