QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) In accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti for a “Beautiful and Clean Quetta”, the district administration has intensified the cleaning process to make the city clean and pleasant.

On special directive of Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini, a cleaning campaign is underway in different areas of the city to provide a healthy environment to the citizens.

In this regard, under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner (President) Muhammad Yousaf Hashmi, the cleaning process is going on in full swing at Chiltan Town and Airport Road along with the staff of “Safa Quetta”.

During the campaign, roads, drains and footpaths are being thoroughly cleaned, special vehicles and machinery have been deployed to collect garbage and debris so that the waste can be disposed of immediately.

Assistant Commissioner instructed the staff present on the spot that no negligence would be tolerated during cleaning. He said that timely cleaning of drains would improve water drainage during rains and citizens could not have to face any problems.

The cleanliness drive is also cleaning the garbage heaps lying on the sides of the roads.

According to the district administration, this campaign is part of the “Clean Quetta” vision, which aims to restore the beauty of the city and prevent the spread of diseases. Along with cleaning, lime is also being sprinkled in the area to keep the environment germ-free.

The district administration has also appealed to the public to play their role in keeping the city clean. Urban garbage should be thrown at designated places, would not throw garbage in drains and cooperate with the cleaning staff.

The Deputy Commissioner Quetta said that the dream of a clean Quetta would be possible not only with the efforts of the administration but also with the participation of the citizens.

He said that the district administration has made it clear that the cleanliness drive would be extended to other areas of the city and this process could continue on a regular basis.
