District Admin steps up efforts to tackle urban flooding, boost city beautification

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) The district administration has intensified efforts to address urban flooding, remove encroachments, and enhance the city’s cleanliness and beautification following recent rains.

These directions were issued during a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir Khan, where officials reviewed measures taken during the recent spell of rain and discussed strategies to prevent urban flooding and improve drainage systems.

The deputy commissioner directed all relevant departments to take concrete and coordinated steps to keep the city clean, safe, and visually appealing.

The special emphasis was placed on ensuring effective implementation of anti-encroachment operations to improve traffic flow and reclaim public spaces.

The officials were also instructed to expedite ongoing beautification projects across the city.

The meeting was attended by senior officers from the district administration and representatives of various departments. They briefed on progress in their respective areas, with a focus on timely and efficient urban management.
