ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) Special measures are being implemented across the district to enhance monitoring, security, and service delivery for polio teams during the ongoing anti-polio campaign.

In this regard, on the second day of the campaign, a detailed visit was conducted to the Malakpura Urban area and BHU Malakpura to review field operations and assess the overall performance of polio teams.

During the visit, officials closely examined the preparedness of the teams, field arrangements, and ongoing activities. Meetings were also held with the polio workers, during which they were briefed and their progress was reviewed.

The teams’ performance and readiness were described as satisfactory, while further instructions were issued to improve efficiency.

Security arrangements for the polio teams were also thoroughly reviewed to ensure complete protection of field staff.

Relevant security agencies were directed to ensure the safety and smooth movement of the teams during the campaign.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that no negligence will be tolerated during the anti-polio drive and that every possible effort must be made to ensure vaccination coverage for all children.

According to the district administration, field monitoring during the anti-polio campaign is being further strengthened, and all available resources are being utilized to make Abbottabad a polio-free district.
