ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jul, 2026) The District Administration Attock organized a dignified farewell ceremony at the Gymkhana Club in honor of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Rao Atif Raza, and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Waqas Aslam Marth.
The event was attended by a large number of political leaders, senior government officials, members of the business community, social representatives, and citizens from across the district, who paid tribute to the services rendered by both officers.
Speakers appreciated Rao Atif Raza for his commitment to public service, transparency, merit, the rule of law, and the timely completion of development projects during his tenure. They noted that his dedicated leadership and administrative capabilities contributed significantly to the district’s progress.
Waqas Aslam Marth was also commended for his valuable contributions in improving revenue administration, strengthening governance, and effectively addressing public issues.
The speakers observed that an unprecedented number of farewell ceremonies had been organized across Attock in honor of Rao Atif Raza, describing it as a reflection of widespread appreciation for his professional integrity and close engagement with the community.
The ceremony highlighted several key development initiatives undertaken during Rao Atif Raza’s tenure.
These included the establishment of a modern Thalassemia Centre for children, the provision of approximately 25 dialysis machines to improve kidney treatment facilities, and the establishment of the District Public Complex comprising a modern school, college, IT Centre, Research Centre, Language Centre, and sports facilities.

Other projects included the restoration of the historic Rest House built in 1924, urban beautification, cleanliness, green belts, parks, and the ongoing establishment of a specialized complex for the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with mental illnesses.
As part of the farewell engagements, Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza also met representatives of the Safi community. He thanked them for their cooperation with the district administration throughout his tenure and acknowledged their positive role in promoting peace, social harmony, development initiatives, and public service.
Representatives of the Safi community, in turn, paid tribute to his services and extended their best wishes for his future assignments. At the conclusion, commemorative shields and souvenirs were presented to Rao Atif Raza and Waqas Aslam Marth, with participants expressing best wishes for both officers in their future responsibilities.
