District administration seals five medical stores during crackdown on quackery

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) In line with the provincial government’s Good Governance Road Map for district service delivery, the district administration Abbottabad launched a joint crackdown against quackery and illegal medical practices.

Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad Afrasiab Zubair Handal, along with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Care Commission (HCC) and other relevant departments, inspected various clinics and medical stores across the district.

During the operation, five medical stores were sealed for allegedly providing medical services through unqualified practitioners in the absence of an MBBS doctor and for violating HCC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The district administration and the Health Care Commission reiterated their commitment to ensuring safe and quality healthcare services for the public and vowed strict, indiscriminate action against illegal medical facilities.

Authorities also urged citizens to report any illegal medical practices and support efforts aimed at protecting human lives and improving healthcare standards in the district.
