District coordination committee reviews development, security, civic Issues

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) A meeting of the District Coordination Committee on Thursday was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Ayesha Rizwan and reviewed development, law and order and civic management issues in the district.

The meeting was attended by District Police Officer (DPO), Additional Deputy Commissioner General Wasiq Abbas Hurl, assistant commissioners, officials of other concerned departments, security agencies, Customs, Excise, Anti-Narcotics, Industries, Civil Defence, Regional Transport Authority (RTA), and Highway Traffic Police.

The participants discussed ongoing beautification initiatives, development projects, price control measures, anti-begging campaigns, traffic management, anti-encroachment operations, public facilities, and progress on the Safe City Project.

The meeting also reviewed issues relating to power theft, the overall law and order situation, security arrangements and preparations for Muharram.

Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan and DPO, Dr. Naveed Atif directed all departments to further improve their performance and strengthen coordination and interaction to ensure effective service delivery.

The meeting agreed to adopt a joint strategy to address urban issues and emphasized the need for departments to play a proactive and dynamic role in resolving public concerns.
